Although the initial focus of BPM was on the automation of mechanistic business processes, this has since been extended to integrate human-driven processes in which human interaction takes place in series or parallel with the mechanistic processes. A common form is where individual steps in the business process which require human intuition or judgement to be performed are assigned to the appropriate members of an organization (as with workflow systems). More advanced forms are in supporting the complex interaction between human workers in performing a workgroup task. In the latter case an emerging class of BPM software known as the Human Interaction Management System is used to support and monitor these processes as well as to permit their ongoing redefinition at runtime.

rms is the easiest to implement BPM system. rms allows detailed workflow control and reporting within and across departments and enterprise wide.

How do you ask people outside your immediate organization to do things for you?

How do you control work inside your organization?

Do you start every meeting with people reporting what they are working on?

rms combines key elements to make getting things done simpler and easier. These elements also make it easier to understand and control business processes.

  • Task specific request forms presented in an Internet browser
  • Customized workflow that automatically moves tasks from requestor to reviewer or fulfiller through the steps as required to complete the work
  • Automatic email notifications to fulfillers, managers and importantly, the person who requested the work
  • A Request Dashboard and reports
